Project Objective
The Town of Belchertown needed a cohesive signage system for two conservation areas that could educate visitors, support safe trail navigation, and reflect the character of the land itself.

My Role & Process
I designed a complete wayfinding system built for families and general visitors — approachable in tone, clear in hierarchy. Each conservation area received a large trailhead sign with maps, wildlife information, and safety messaging, supported by rules and regulations signage and seasonal safety notices. To support accessibility, signs include orange square markers indicating where Braille placards are installed. I also developed editable templates so conservation staff can create future signage that stays consistent with the system.

Impact and Deliverables
The signage system is installed across two Belchertown conservation areas, giving visitors the information they need to explore responsibly. Deliverables included large trailhead signs, rules and regulations signs, seasonal safety signage, informational plant and wildlife signs, directional markers, and editable templates for future use.
