A Brand Built for Trust

Project Objective
Create a cohesive visual identity from scratch for a solo healthcare practice with three distinct service areas: patient navigation, mentoring for new nurse practitioners and physician assistants, and organizational consulting. The brand needed to hold all three pillars without looking fragmented and project the credibility required to speak to patients, emerging clinicians, and institutional clients simultaneously.

My Role & Process

The central design challenge was finding a single mark that could carry three equal, interconnected services. The solution is a Penrose triangle, a geometric figure in which three beams form a continuous loop with no beginning and no end. It's a precise metaphor for this practice: clinical experience informs the consulting work, mentoring draws on direct patient care, and organizational expertise strengthens individual practice. None of the three stands alone.

The color palette uses three distinct blues, one for each service pillar, while maintaining cohesion across the full system. Blue anchors the brand in the trust and professionalism healthcare audiences expect. Typography pairs a geometric wordmark with a secondary weight that flexes across print and digital contexts. The round lockup extends versatility for applications where a contained badge format is needed, including apparel, digital avatars, and signage.

The business card carries the Penrose pattern on the reverse, the mark deconstructed into a repeating geometric texture, adding tactile interest and reinforcing the brand concept beyond the logo itself.

Impact
The client selected the Penrose triangle concept after testing it with her network. The mark has been extended to branded apparel, a strong indicator that the identity has taken hold beyond print materials and become something the client is genuinely building around.

Deliverables
Primary logo (vertical, horizontal, and round lockups) · Scalable icon · Business card · Color palette and typography specifications

Vertical, horizontal, and round lockups — built for flexibility across print, digital, and apparel applications.

The Penrose pattern extends the mark across the card reverse, turning every exchange into a brand moment.

The mark on dark blue is designed to hold up on apparel and dark-field applications.

An all-blue system, each shade corresponding to one service pillar. Montserrat across three weights for clean hierarchy at any scale.
