Reform to Equal Rights

A CURRICULUM AS INCLUSIVE AS THE RIGHTS IT TEACHES

Skills Used
Sub-Branding · Curriculum Design · Accessible Design · Information Architecture · Inclusive Visual Communication

Project Objective
Launch a visually cohesive and accessible K–12 curriculum on the history of disability rights in the U.S.

My Role & Process
To support the Emerging America program’s mission to engage all students, I developed a distinct sub-brand and designed curriculum materials that align with Emerging America’s core identity while prioritizing accessibility. I applied high-contrast colors, clear typography, and structured layouts optimized for both screen and print use. The materials are compatible with screen readers and other assistive technologies to ensure inclusivity.

The final design empowers educators to deliver rich, engaging content grounded in Universal Design for Learning principles and the project’s commitment to equity.

Impact
The curriculum has been widely adopted by K–12 educators and supports inclusive teaching practices by making complex disability history content accessible to diverse learners.
